Posted by Paul Bailey on Thursday, April 23, 2015
Built in 1825 in Newcastle, for the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
It hauled the first train on the
Stockton and Darlington Railway
on 27 September 1825. It also features on the old £5 note, and is seen crossing the Scearn Bridge.
