Here are just a few more pictures from yesterday.

Raising steam mid morning. The piece of pipe on top of the locomotives chimney helps to draw the fire when raising steam.

The building fills with steam as the boiler inspector checks the Pecketts safety valves go off at the correct pressure.

The first time the Peckett has moved under its own power on the new bearings.

Inside the cab of the Peckett, the red handle you can see is the regulator and in the background is our Chief Mechanical Engineer and Vice-Chairman, Malcolm Simpson.

To finish a view of the Pecketts fire and fire box taken from the footplate.

So there is still work to do, buffers to fit and little bits of fine tuning to do, before the Peckett sets off for a visit to North Tyneside.
