It was delivered against Order No. 30249 to BR (ER) Civil Engineers, Stanningley, Leeds, Yorkshire (West Riding). It was originally fitted with a Ford 2262E engine. Running numbers during its mainline career were DX 68003 and DB965951.

Resoration has started on MPP0007,The seat's have been removed and a start has been made removing rust and loose paint.
Kerry starts removing rust with a wire brush.
Paul makes a start with an angle grinder.
Wickham trolley,MPP0007, was moved outside today so we could have a tidy up and then put it onto a small section of track,back inside the building,so that it will easier to work on.
James and Stuart have a rest after moving MPP0007 outside.25/5/2009.
